Chandos Lake is considered by many to be one of the top cottaging lakes in the Kawartha’s. It is located just north of Apsley Ontario, making it a 2+ hour drive from the GTA. Chandos Lake is a classic Canadian-Shield lake with rocky shores and islands. It consists of three distinct bays connected by narrows – West Bay, South Bay and Gilmour’s Bay.
Its spring-fed, providing for excellent water quality and is the largest lake in the Crow River watershed. There are approximately 1200 cottages on Chandos, with three marinas and a public beach.
Chandos Lake is exceptionally picturesque, with its rugged shorelines and windswept pines. A very popular lake among cottagers – real estate values continue to climb on this desirable lake.
